Privacy Policy

1. Overview
The objective of this policy is to outline Support2Health’s commitment to ensuring the adherence of the National Privacy Principles established by the Privacy Act 1988.

2. The Policy
Support2Health is committed to ensuring the privacy of the personal information we collect from candidates, clients and staff. We understand the importance of personal information to an individual.

As such, Support2Health is committed to complying with the Privacy Act 1988 and the privacy provisions of all applicable legislation.

This Privacy Policy covers all personal information held by Support2Health.

By providing personal information to Support2Health, you agree to be bound by this Privacy Policy and you consent to the processing of your personal information by us as described in this Privacy Policy.

3. Collection of personal information
Wherever practical Support2Health obtains personal information about individuals from them directly in writing, by telephone or by other electronic communication including when they engage our services to find suitable employment opportunities or ask us to provide them with candidates. However, we may also seek personal information from third parties including referees provided by a candidate or from employers and business associates. Support2Health may also collect personal information about an individual's family for the purposes of visa, immigration or re-location advice.

In relation to the collection of personal information via our website, we use cookies, to enable us to recognise your browser when you visit our website during that period.

4. Types of personal information held
Personal information collected and held by Support2Health usually falls into the following categories:

4.1 Candidate details such as name, address, date of birth, gender and contact information
      submitted and obtained from the candidate and other sources in connection with
      applications/enquiries for work;
4.2 Work performance information;
4.3 Information about incidents in the workplace;
4.4 Staff information;
4.5 Information submitted and obtained in relation to absences from work due to leave,
      illness or other causes; and
4.6 Information obtained to assist in managing client and business relationships.


5. Purposes for which we use your personal information

Support2Health primarily uses personal information in relation to the following business activities:

• Placement Operations;
• Recruitment Services;
• Regulatory and Migration Services;
• Staff management;
• Training;
• Client and business relationship management;
• Invoicing;
• Marketing; and
• Loyalty and referral programs.

We also use your personal information to identify you and to contact you for administrative purposes and to let you know about our services.

If you choose not to provide us with certain personal information, we may not be able to provide you with all of our services or assistance.

6. Disclosure of personal information

In order to conduct our business activities, Support2Health may disclose personal information, including sensitive information, held about an individual to:

• Support2Health's clients;
• Government departments;
• Medical practitioners;
• Medical Registration Boards;
• Professional Colleges;
• Anyone to whom an individual authorises Support2Health to disclose their information.

We will only disclose personal information about you to a third party located in a foreign country where the information will be subject to a privacy regime and/or contractual obligations that are comparable to Australia's privacy regime and under this Privacy Policy or otherwise only with your specific consent.

6.1. To our Employees, Contractors and Agents
From time to time Support2Health may engage or employ other companies (including financial institutions) and individuals to perform functions on our behalf for example in respect of marketing campaigns and providing services in connection with Support2Health's loyalty and referral programs. Such parties will have access to only that personal information required by them to perform the activity, and will only do so by adhering to Support2Health’s Privacy Policy, and may not use such information for any other purposes.

6.2. Where required by Law
In certain circumstances we may be required by law to disclose personal information, for example, where disclosure is ordered by a Court, or subpoenaed in relation to third party litigation. We also reserve the right to choose to disclose an individual’s information to law enforcement agencies, including for the purpose of investigating alleged contraventions of the law.

7. Marketing communications
We provide individuals with an easy opt-out, no cost method of requesting that they no longer receive direct marketing and/or career management promotional offers.

8. Security
Support2Health aims to protect the personal information that it collects. Personal information will be managed confidentially and securely and destroyed appropriately when no longer required.

Support2Health will monitor and implement appropriate technical advances or management processes, to safeguard personal information.

9. Data Quality
Support2Health will take all reasonable steps to ensure that the data we collect, use or disclose is accurate, complete and up to date, and has been obtained directly from the individual or other reputable sources. However, the accuracy of the information depends to a large extent on the information provided to us by you and third parties. Please let us know if there are any errors in your personal information, and keep us up to date with changes to personal information such as your address and contact details by contacting us online as set out below.

10. How to request an update of your personal information

Support2Health has an online process to request an amendment to an individual’s personal information through kimberley@Support2Health.com. This functionality allows the individual to submit their request through Support2Health’s website (www.Support2Health.com) and a Support2Health consultant will update the individual’s records.

An individual also has the option to contact our office directly either by telephone on 03 6224 4150 or direct email kimberley@Support2Health.com

11. Accessing your personal information

At any time you may request access to personal information that Support2Health holds about you. Support2Health will process such requests within a reasonable time and will provide access in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988. Support2Health may charge a fee to cover the costs of verifying the application and retrieving the information requested.

12. Inquiries and Complaints

For information about the way Support2Health manages the personal information it holds or if you have any concerns over the protection of the information you have given to us or that we have collected from others, please contact the Support2Health appointed Privacy Contact Officer.

In order to assist you with a specific enquiry or complaint about your personal information, we will first need to verify your identity to our satisfaction.

Information Collection Statement

We will need to collect personal information about you.

  • Personal information may range from the sensitive (e.g. relevant medical history or criminal history) to the everyday (e.g. address and phone number).  We may collect the opinions of others about your work performance your work experience and qualifications, aptitude test results and other information in connection with your possible work placements.

    We will only collect information that is necessary for the proper performance of our tasks or functions.  We do not collect or use personal information for the purposes of unlawful discrimination. We do not collect personal information just because we think it could be useful at some future stage if we have no present need for it. We do not routinely conduct criminal history checks and only do so in order to obtain relevant criminal history with regard to particular jobs you are offered or for which you are shortlisted. If you only browse our website, we do not collect information that identifies you personally, though we may collect information related to your visit to our website.  See our Privacy Policy for more information.

    Who will be collecting your personal and sensitive information

    Your personal information will be collected by Support2health for its own use and on behalf of our clients who might require access to your personal and sensitive information in connection with your work placements. 

    Your personal information will be held by Support2health at 141 Hampden Road Hobart TAS. Some of your personal information may be held on portable devices such as mobile phones, laptop computers or in diaries operated and held by our staff members.

    Legal requirements for personal information

    Some laws such as taxation law, immigration law, laws regulating employment agencies, laws relating to national security, laws relating to professional or trade registration and laws for the protection of certain classes of people (such as children or the elderly) may require that we collect certain types of information (including criminal history) from you that is relevant to the position/s for which you may be applying. There may be cases where our duties of care or contractual duties require us to obtain and disclose certain types of personal information relevant to specific jobs. 

    When requesting information of this type we will tell you whether the supply of that information by you is mandatory or voluntary.

    If you do not give us all or part of the information we need

    • we may be limited in our ability to locate suitable work for you;
    • we may be limited in our ability to place you in work;
    • we might decline to represent you in your search for work or put you forward for particular positions.

    Your personal information will be used in connection with:

    • our assessment of your suitability for registration with us;
    • the necessary validation (including from appropriate third party sources) of your resume, c.v., nominated references, or stated qualifications, experience, training or abilities.  Where we require third party validation we will tell you how we propose to obtain it;
    • your actual or possible work placement;
    • your performance appraisals;
    • any test or assessment (including medical tests and assessments) that you might be required to undergo;
    • our assessment of your ongoing performance and prospects;
    • our identification of your training needs;
    • suggestions we may make to you, whilst you remain registered with us,  for further training in connection with work of the type that you are seeking through us;
    • any workplace rehabilitation in which you and we are involved;
    • our management of any complaint, investigation or inquiry in which you are involved;
    • any insurance claim or proposal that requires disclosure of your personal or sensitive information;
    • any reference that we may give concerning your work;
    • our statutory compliance obligations;

    Your personal information may be disclosed to…

    • potential and actual employers and clients
    • referees;
    • a person who seeks a reference about you;
    • our insurers;
    • a professional association or registration body that has a proper interest in the disclosure of your personal and sensitive information;
    • a Workers Compensation body;
    • our contractors and suppliers – e.g. our I.T. contractors, internet service suppliers and database designers, some of whom may be off shore;
    • a parent, guardian, holder of an enduring power of attorney (or like authority) or next of kin whom we may contact in any case in which consent is required or notification is to be given and where it is not practicable to obtain it from or give it directly to you;
    • any person with a lawful entitlement to obtain the information.

     

    You can gain access to your information to correct it if it is wrong

    Subject to some exceptions which are set out in privacy legislation you have a right to see and have a copy of personal information about you that we hold.

    If you are able to establish that personal information that we hold about you is misleading, irrelevant, not accurate, complete or up-to-date, we will take reasonable steps to correct it.

    If we are unable to agree that personal information that we hold about you is not misleading, relevant accurate, complete and up-to-date, you may ask us to place with the information a statement by you that claims that particular information is misleading, irrelevant, not accurate, incomplete or out of-date.

    If you wish to exercise your rights of access and correction you should contact our privacy coordinator, whose details are shown above.

    In some cases we may impose a moderate charge for providing access to personal or sensitive information.  We will not charge you simply because you lodge a request for access.

    Electronic Transactions

    We conduct transactions electronically as well as in hard copy and by face to face measures.  It is important that you understand that there are risks associated with the use of electronic technologies and the use of the internet and you should take all appropriate steps to protect your personal information.
